Only 316 out of the 441 approached nurses took part in the study. 47.5% of the sample population had less than ten years experience in the use of computers. 33.5% of the respondents had used the computers for a period of 5 to 10 years while 57.6% of them used computers both at work and at home. 64.6% of the population were capable of using more than one software.30.4% of the nurses were familiar with multiple goals of programs geared towards computer nursing. Of all the participants, 47.5% had the knowledge concerning their duties in the facilitation of nursing computer programs. At the same time, it turned out that nurses had various advantages in using computers for instance in the promotion of care, planning of diet and making a nursing diagnosis. Other issues that emerged influencing the perceived benefits of computers during the study encompass demographic features of the population.
Data analysis
The data collected during the study were analyzed by the use of descriptive and inferential statistics. During the analysis, the authors utilized both Chi-square and the Fisher tests. These test provided an avenue for the testing of the hypothesis generated during the study.
Reliability and validity
The study utilized a structured questionnaire and standard methods for testing and data analysis thus giving it credibility and reliability for future usage by other researchers as a reference.

From the results, it was evident that more than 60% of the nurses were below 40 years old with more than half having less than 15 years experience in the nursing field. With an average consideration, the nurses had not understood the significance and benefits related to computer programs in nursing practice.
