Quantitative and Qualitative Research Review
Quantitative study.
Categorization.
In the current era of medical advancement through technological innovations and applications in nursing, use of electronic care services such as electronic medical records is becoming more common. The electronic methods make it more effective to transfer patient information from one unit to another even between facilities in case of referral. The reception, adoption, and implementation of such services within the healthcare sector especially among the nurses depends on the attitudes and their point of view. This prompted Heidarizadeh et al to carry out a study based on the nurses’ perception of challenges they face in the process of using the electronic system in the nursing documentation (2017).

The analysis of the results was presented in the theme form. There were two themes that emerged that represented the nurses’ view of the challenges they face while using electronic documentation system.
