Initial case reports show that at least a 15% increase in the number of influenza cases is expected over the next few days. As the nursing supervisor on the unit, you decided to call an emergency meeting of all your nurses to initiate planned preparation strategies for your agency in collaboration with the community to mitigate the outbreak.
