Critiquing a research is not complete until all chapters of the research undergo this process. That said, the essence of this discussion is to comment on both quantitative and qualitative research articles. The results, discussion, and the global issue are the three most important topics that will form part of this analysis.
Quantitative Article Critique
Results
Data analysis
The study utilized a descriptive and parametric statistics to analyze its data. The analysis method is suitable for this research since it employed a descriptive quantitative study design. Moreover, the researcher choice of a statistical level of significance value of below 0.05 is wise as it reduces the error while testing the relationship between the main variables (caregiver burden and symptoms distress). Consequently, this enhances increased the validity of the method used to analyze.
The data analysis also identifies how it obtained meaningful information from the collected data. Such an explanation depicts the effectiveness of this study. Lastly, a description of how the study attempted to establish the relationships is also evident in this section. In overall terms, the study demonstrates excellent data analysis properties.
Findings
The results of the study are brief and precise to the point. The researcher, however, utilizes the only tables to summarize the results. Though this type of presentation is convenient, it fails to use other modes of presenting data that would have been more appealing, for instance, the pie chart. The results of this study are generalizable since the proportion of persons that took part in the study is 30 out of the possible 31.

Concerning the reliability of the findings, the study presents reliable results that are representative of the data collected and are easily generalizable. On the other hand, the results are valid given the utilization of the level of significance to reduce the error in hypothesis testing (Burns, Grove, & Gray, 2011).
Discussion
Interpretation of findings
Firstly, the study links the findings to the literature review to back its claim and thus this illustrates its commitment to adhere to the rules of discussing the results of research. Furthermore, the discussion also links the relationship found between the variables to previously done studies.
Implications/Recommendations
The researcher concludes that the results are not generalizable after a thorough scrutiny of the various elements of the research. For instance, in this, case the small size of the sample used is the main reason to discredit its generalizability. Moreover, the study highlights the recommendations about the future direction concerning the research to be done.

It employs different methods of presenting the information. Moreover, it is well written and well structured. As such, all these elements enhance its readability.
Researcher credibility
There is no indication of the researcher’s conflict of interest or financial motivation, which will impair the credibility of the researcher. Thus, the researcher is credible and objective.
Summary assessment
In summary, the research observes most of the aspects required by a research critique. Such is the case given the explicit and elaborate way of explaining every element of the research. The few stated exemptions in the research do little to question the credibility of this study. Thus, it overall terms it is an excellent research article.

The researcher fails to highlight how the findings were drawn from the raw data. The study also fails to point out the decision path that was used during the analysis. That notwithstanding, the study neglected to describe the process used for putting the data in various themes and the rationales for the development of these issues. All the same, such an exemption is understandable in this case, given that this is a research brief. However, the researcher states that thematic analysis was the primary method of data analysis used.
Findings
The results of this study are representative of the data collected since it reflects the collected data in the various themes used. The presentation of the results is in prose form, which is suitable to the nature of the data collected.
Theoretical Integrations
The study attempts to indicate the connections between the variables and other theoretical concepts that relate to these variables. However, its relationship to the conceptual framework is not possible due to the notable exemption of the framework.
Discussion
Interpretation of findings
The discussion is logical, and clarity is evident since it addresses each theme in a sequential manner. Besides, it relies on other studies identified in the literature review to make sense of the findings obtained.
Implications/Recommendations
It gives some recommendations regarding the nature of future research on this issue. The recommendations are drawn from the understanding of study and literature reviewed.

The layout of the paper is good as it enhances the readability of the article. Such is the case given its good structure and well-written property that it possesses.
Researcher Credibility
There is no indication of the researcher’s conflict of interest or financial motivation. Such are responsible for impairing the credibility the researcher. Thus, the researcher is credible and objective.
Summary assessment
In overall terms, this research brief falls short of meeting the expectation of various elements of the research. The elements include but not limited to the title, literature review, data collection and data analysis. Most of these exemptions are understandable given that this is a research brief.
