The concept of servant leadership is gradually becoming an anchor for leaders seeking to succeed in their operations in the contemporary organizations.  That is for sure given the large number of articles recording this type of leadership in various organizations. In essence, this discussion aims at demonstrating the same by providing a summary of an article focusing on servant leadership practices within a work place. Additionally, it will detail the practices that will inform my future practice. With such an analysis, achievement of a new understanding of this concept of servant leadership is inevitable.

Primarily, the article of interest centers on the servant leadership trends in the 21st century business. In overall terms, several servant leadership practices are apparent in this article and are worth noting. For instance, in the outsourcing option for business entities, decentralization and concentration on individualized employer-employee relationships are valuable elements for the realization of successful operations. In essence, decentralization and strong interpersonal relations are befitting features of servant leadership. Another current trendof servant leadership highlighted in the article is the high level of respect and value of employees by leaders (Guillaume, Honeycutt, & Cleveland, 2012). Based on such trends, it is beyond doubt that the current crop of servant leaders rely on the principles that inform this kind of leadership.

Concisely, this paper aimed at summarizing an article highlighting current trends of servant leadership in contemporary workplaces. Largely, the discussion has achieved this objective and severalpractices noted in the article will come in handy in future practice. A case in point of such practices that I can relate with my persona and will inform my current and future practice is the respect and value of others irrespective of their personal backgrounds. According to Champoux,(2017), such a consideration results in great economic returns, which are of utmost significance to all organizations. As such, institutionalizing such values in the current workplace will do no harm but benefit it.
