Nursing forms the backbone of health care services provided. It plays an integral role hence the quality of care portrayed through the nursing services paints a picture of the healthcare sectors as a whole. The indicators include patient satisfaction and the satisfaction of the nursing staff providing the care (Burston, Chaboyer, & Gillespie, 2014). They are instruments for assessing the quality of health as they help to identify faults in the care given on which to base improvements on.
