The two studies revolve around medication errors that usually erupt in the process of nursing care provision. According to Fagondes et al., (2016), the medication errors are directly proportional to the workload that exists in a facility. The working load on the other hand is dependent on the needs of the patient to be served. Overworking usually leads to exhaustion and impairs the efficiency of the workforce thus leading to the occurrence of the medication errors. The workload is usually characterized by the imbalance in the professional activities which then leads to the overworking.
