Find a nursing outcome in your area of practice that can be made better. For example, if you work in home health, you may notice that too many patients whoo are at risk of falling use throw rugs. You might be able to use the problem that gave you ideas for your theory in week 2. Find the idea in Watson’s Theory of Caring that could stand for or include the result.

In our example, the outcome would be how the patient changed the way he or she covered the floors. Find a practice that could be changed or added that might change the result. Find the practice in Watson’s Theory of Caring by identifying the idea that it is part of. In our example, the practice could be taking part in a teaching-learning experience, which is one of Watson’s Caritas Processes, to learn more about fall hazards.
