Please use this document as a checklist for each paper you will write during your GCU graduate program. Follow the specific instructions given in the assignment and use this checklist to ensure correct grammar and APA formatting. Make use of the APA resources available in the GCU Library and Student Success Center.

☐ The title page should be present and formatted correctly according to APA guidelines, without any errors.

☐ The introduction should be present and formatted correctly according to APA guidelines, without any errors.

☐ Ensure that the topic is well-defined.

☐ Include a strong thesis statement in the introduction of the paper.

☐ The thesis statement should be consistently threaded throughout the paper and included in the conclusion.

☐ Paragraph development: Each paragraph should have an introductory statement, two or three sentences as the body of the paragraph, and a transition sentence to maintain the flow of information. The sections of the main body should be organized to reflect the main points of the author. Apply APA format correctly without any errors.

Empirical Journal Article: This type of scholarly resource reports original findings from observational or experimental research studies. It typically includes a literature review, methodology, results, and discussion.
