Neurological and Musculoskeletal Disorders
Introduction
There are various common abnormalities for the neurological and the musculoskeletal system. Some of the common neurological abnormalities that often affect people are headache, cerebrovascular disorders and neuropathies. Most of the people who have migraines often visit the hospital. Most people report complains of headache is this is often the symptom behind another underlying disorder. The other abnormality that often affects a large number of people is epilepsy. Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that often leads to complains of seizures. Neuropathies are also common among many people. Neuropathy is the neurological pain of unknown origin. Most often the elderly report these complain. The other neurological disorder that is also mostly seen in primary care is the cerebrovascular diseases. These diseases are the disorders that affect the cerebrum part of the part and the blood supply. These diseases include the cerebrovascular accidents. Finally, the other common disorders are the neuroinfections, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease (Panda, 2006).
The most common musculoskeletal disorders that are often seen in the primary care are of muscle pains. Most of the people report to be having back pains and neck pains. The muscle pains are often as the result of overworking the muscle. The other disorders that are often reported in the primary care are the bone fractures. These bone fractures mostly are the result of the road traffic accidents and pathological ones. In recent years, there has been an increase of the individuals complaining of joint pains. Most often, these joint pains lead to the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (Panda, 2006). Finally, the other common disorders are the fibromyalgia. These disorders often are reported as complains of pain in the joints.
